Thinner is best.
Recommended no mistakes, because thinner or turpentine weakens the plastic when applied.
It will crack easily? In that case, isnt spray over better?

Come to think of it, true. But thinner makes it crack easily, guess if you not careful and force your self into a thinner situation. Just take care of your gun more.

One good one that i have seen is, a thin layer of dull black then add another thin layer of metallic black.

Dry brushing.
Get 1 can of silver. Use a frayed / used brush, dip it. Then wipe hard a few times ( until no traces of paint left) with kitchen / toilet paper.
Brush lightly against the object until a glint of silver is seen. Repeat until satisfied

That is not all. Some people have HIGH, STRATOSPHERIC, GALAXY WIDE standards. Only the real thing is allowed in their inflexible minds. Real thing = 7 year years jail.

Metal will have scuffs, knock marks and dents. No matter what. Unless you wanna have a pristine gun paint job.......that's way off. Main RULE #1: Flexible Mind. Phoenix and Skeg has shown their flexible edged mind.

Not dents. But worn from lengthy uses. I have not used that before.

Kinda am afraid if screw up with a weathering set. When only i am sure how to use it, then can consider buying. Also, i am not sure where the sniper has the highest weathering effect. Mainly scope, thats all i know.

If you do not what to use, do not use. Stick to dry brushing. Learn how to use. It can take months to do a proper dry brushing job.

That is advice. Not an instruction. If you have the chance, dry brush.

It's Moi , to be exact.
Do not make fun of other languages; S'il vous plaît
This is the instruction, follow.
1.) Metallic black is for metal based parts 2.) Black is for non metal based parts 3.) Lacquer is for last and final step. Just before finishing.
I will speak in languages which Cats & Dogs can understands. If anyone cannot comprehend, that pretty much gauges your understanding.
