OK, there is a fierce and very stupid bidding war for K-ON! merchandising license for Singapore and Asia going on. I will not name names, but lets say a few companies are bidding. They are bidding for the right to K-ON! merchandise and when won, all retailers officially bringing in K-ON! merchanside will have to pay 'royalties' to the winning company. Hence, we can NO LONGER officially bring in any K-ON! merchandise until the bid war ends, and even AFTER, we will have to pay royalties, and thus sell at higher prices. I for one, am trying the parallel routes, but it looks rather bad. So what's gonna happen now? Most of the K-ON! merchandise that have not arrived. May never come or may come but with insane prices that defy all logic. Unfortunately we are just a retailer, and this licesning nonsense is out of our hands. I am about this. We are just casualties in this affair.

Should be $6.00 more each for Tsumugi, with a chance of shortfall.
As for the others, no news. -.-;;

Just a few questions: - Who is the license/rights holder for Singapore and Asia now? - Also, my order for Tsumugi is with Kurocha. Much as I like to order from you guys to show my occasional support for your ethical way of doing stuff, the PO at TnT is still open (until tomorrow !!!). Are they affected, and will you guys do a refund of the deposit if those who ordered with you were to cancel? If stocks are certain, I would rather stick with you guys but its hard to say and I do want to complete my set - Whose f**king with the shops in SG? please give hints so we can start the boycott

1. no confirmation yet, the bid is still being fought. 2. They are affected as well. They will also have no guarantee as they have told me. 3. U see who releasing the licensed merchandise then you know lor. That's the hint.

so there is no existing right/license holder? Why the sudden rush for 1?
RE: No, no officiall company want to send because theres a bid for merchandise license going on in our area
what don't they send, regardless of the license issue as of NOW? It doesn't affect them, does it?

since TnT are so uncertain, then I probably stick with you guys then, seeing that I have already paid the deposit. As you said that there might be shortfalls, can I secure my item right now if I transfer the full amount as soon as possible?

= = I knew that that's going to happen with K-on fever going around. Thank god I am not a SUPER big fan of K-on. Regarding the companies which are bidding for the license, I think I got a few names in mind. Seriously I don't mind paying a few dollars more to get my stuff since buying online is as expensive. However, if a certain company got the license, no way I am going to buy from local again (K-on stuff). I rather pay a little bit more than to let certain company earn. = =

How did this happen? simple lor, companies see the hype, so they want to cash in and monopolize lor. Its simple as that. They don't realize what they are doing is only gonna piss off alot of ppl.

OK, TNT has a bypass route just this once. I will be taking from them as much as I can squeeze. The price still goes up though.
For all who have preordered Tsumugi nendo, her new PO price is $51.00, up $4.00 from the original $47.00.
TNT is selling it at $55.00, but i and several other retailers, have decided to absorb as much as we can as a service to our loyal customers and well, we don't really want to leave all of you who have been collecting the other K-ON stuff so loyally, stranded.
Are you all ok with this new arrangement?
In addition, TNT so far have informed us that only this and (maybe) upcoming K-ON merchandise preorders are affected, previous orders that have not arrived may NOT be affected. So for the time being, just stay tuned for updates!

No idea yet, upo to whoever wins the bidding I guess. Also note the bidding is being fought in Hong Kong, which effectively affects our region as well.
