A nice good history re-anactment. Regarding Communist and Democratic like how they spread the propagandas and stuff.

Ok, this takes some time to say: Central Cooking ( also known as Cookhouse in army camps) say cook 20 kg of rice for 4 family. Each family takes 5 kg. If any one wanna spare rice for the commies, he/she has to find ways to sneak past the guards and prevent it from spoiling. Fridges was not so wide spread at that time. Plus the human body will sometimes lose weight if too less food is eaten. A sure sign of food be spared for the commies.

Ah... My O'Levels essay. Really being back memories.
Same strategy used in Vietnam but a total disaster due to the corrupted government.
Sufficient amount is given to each family. So no spares to be given to commies. Plus, you have restricted hours out of the village (operates like an army camp), even you have a valid pass, you have to wait for "opening hours".

That is good info, I consider this "missing period" of my malaya history knowledge.
I wouldn't have given up my "o" lvl modern malayan history subject if they were to start off with this topic. haha.

The British gave just sufficient to the villagers. So no problems. But the South Vietnamese gave under to their villagers, That is why the switched side.

Communism is an ideology. Root word = idea. That said, and in simple terms, I believe all the Communist regimes ended being totalitarian (to different extents) as well as becoming a perversion of what Marx originally intended.
That said, "democracy" or "capitalism" isn't all good. Just the lesser of evils, no?

No, that's not it. It's an IDEA, not just simply a "word". And it's only a threat to the "national security" of the states that don't condone it. You might say the same for espousing say, Christian ideals in a Muslim theocracy.

By the way, just to clear some common misconceptions about Marx, what bravo20 said is quite correct; Marx wouldn't have condoned the practices of Communist regimes (that obviously contravened the notion of fraternity and created ruling elites) In fact, Marx praised Capitalism more highly than many other writers! He simply said "Well, its the best we've ever got, but it also has brought us the worst side effects we've ever had!" I suppose this would be best expressed in an old Soviet joke: Soviet scientists had discovered a way to bring the dead to life again, so they decided to revive old Karl Marx. Then they took Marx on a tour of the Soviet Union, its collectives, the factores, Magnitogorsk and so on. When the day had ended, Marx mentioned that he would like to address the Soviet peoples, but the KGB censorship committee (as usual) feared he would say something anti-Stalin and agreed to let him speak on one condition: only a SINGLE sentence! Karl Marx said okay, and so the next day, as all the Soviet people were gathered with bated breath, Marx stepped up to the microphone and said: "Friends, forgive me!"
