Hi guys! We're working on a web series which is going to be a 'realistic' docu-drama style approach to the lives of police detectives in four different departments - Robbery, Homicide, Vice/Narcotics and Gangs. Note that the focus of the series is not the job, but how the job affects them as people, though we will certainly not shortchange audiences as we intend to achieve a certain level of authencity when it comes to the police work.

Won't be starting production till 2012, but we'll be starting to audition for cast once screenplay for our pilot episode is complete.

Here is a rough idea of how it would look like:

An impromptu scene filmed with an iPhone after just 5 minutes of planning.

Do check back here as I will be posting updates and casting calls!

i seriously hope you wun be using iphone to shoot the entire series.... watching just a minute into this and i felt like puking already with all the bad camera shakes and movements.....

honestly imo, C.L.I.F is a good show to take reference from if u intend to do a mini series about locals law enforcement. Try to keep it local. I believe our local cops dun have those badges and I'm pretty sure they dun have their holsters on the side of their belts like those on miami vice or hawaii five o.

Keep it simple. Remember Triple nine??

that's the thing, I am not doing a show about SPF. and yup, the actual thing will surely not be shot on iPhone.

there is no law against the import of such items, as they are not considered controlled items in our country. I'm planning to buy an NYPD detective badge soon..  Grin

This looks like an interesting project. You story style seems reminicent of "L.A Noire"

It's probably the 'crime scene' that gave you that impression. when the thing is actually out, it'll be more on the officers similar to the US drama SouthLAnd, which is the main inspiration.
