Should be done by end of this month so just wanna log my progress, sic.

I'm back to continue making my 1911, thanks Natz for the dremel, making my life easier.

Last time:

Now:

Pardon the ugly epoxy, will fix it soon. I'm now trying to fix the sliding issue. I couldn't pull the slide all the way back.

Disassembled:

I thought a full length guide rod will be simpler.

Turns out this is one of the problem that caused the sliding issue. Will switch to the original short guide rod.

I think I found the root of the problem.

This happens when I pull the slide all the way back. Seems like the barrel got stuck in the barrel locking lug...

19 March 2011:
Made hammer, sear, disconnector, trigger and slide stop. Magazine catch and sear/disconnector still have some bugs to fix but overall its about done. Partially fixed the guide rod problem.

Slide stop engaged:

Slide stop disengaged:

It slides back and forth nicely, will post a vid once it's complete.
