Hi guys, just wondering if any of you peeps have done like a studio shoot for all the gear you have?
Like just for momento or portfolio reasons...since so many of us have cameras and tact gear.

Maybe we can rent a studio for a day or two and just shoot ourselves with all our gear.
Just bouncing ideas around...whatdya think?

You need a good photographer in addition to the proper lighting and effects needed, otherwise the finished product wun be as desirable

Hi recon,

that's one but the studio I was thinking of is furnished with strobes, lightboxes, reflectors etc.

So what we need now are photographers. Then again, the whole exercise may not be about shooting photos that are worthy for a game box cover, although that would be nice.
Its like a get together for those who have always wanted to try their hands at photographing others or even themselves in all the gear.

So what we need now is to get more people.
If there are atleast 5 people we can start renting a studio but have to share cost lah. I don't think it'll be ex for a studio rental a day. Probably $80 which makes it like $16 a pax.
I have an okay camera but I hope to get atleast someone with experience shooting studio.

any brudders out there do photography?? Amatuers are not amatuers when you put them on the big screen....in art, there is no competition.

depends on the fittings and the size.
anyway I've got my own reflector just no strobe or lightbox.

If its $150 it'll be a little pricey for 5 people so more would be good but at $150 the studio would not be small.

Alternatively we can do it at some secluded outdoor place.
Like Punggol or inside MacRitchie.

That way we'll have the natural environment to complement the gears.

Vanya, but he must be willing to do it pro bono because apart from adding to his portfolio, the objective really is just there to gather and share with the others each other's collection. As well as sharing of tips on how to dress for cosplay/model.

and ofcoz, take photos to keep for everyone. Just need everyone's email to mail the pictures to.

Hmm.. I don't think he actually does it for free! He does 100 and hour, so for 5 people, that's like 20 an hour each. I'll ask him though. If you go to Tampines to shoot, he may be more willing to do it for free (he lives there). Want me to ask?

A lot of logistics involved,a lot of people to involve, got the police post + A&E to inform, might want to consider a studio instead..

Vanya, I don't think a paid photographer is going to be a part of this. Because fun and sharing is the objective. The thing is, any of the cosplayers can dress and bring their own cameras and try their hand as well.

So money is out of the option unless its sharing payment for the studio.

These days a lot of us have cameras thus is negates having a paid photographer. I think his photos are okay but not what we may want. If we're gonna do it for 3 hours its gonna be $300.

In that case it may be cheaper and a lot less trouble to just rent a studio.

no law is broken if it is conducted indoors. Outdoors is too troublesome.
Now is to have interested people mention it here.
I'm in.
