Here is what I did for some of them Smiley

As you guys know the other thread tio closed cos mod say its soliciting / advertisement...  So PLEASE lets not degrade this into one .

Lets share tips and experience in "beautifying" your pieces!

As a lot are asking how to make the SOCOM one nicer, this is what i did:

0 - remove the battery cover and batteries
1 - Remove the 2 top screws on the shaft
2 - GENTLY pry them apart with a puny screw driver
3 - remove the 2 now exposed screws, and the lower screws
4 - slowly pry them apart again

0- I disabled the stupid sound by cutting a white wire in there (anyone will do as long as its the one connected to the speaker)
1 - Doing so, the gears will STILL work, the LED too...
2 - (OPTIONAL) i removed the gears and put in just 1 rubber band and coil it around a plastic post and the circuit board like in the picture (credit rubber band trick idea was from a friend)
3 - at this point you MAY want to take the chance to touch up and spray it whatever colour you want.
4 - put them all together again

It is UNEXPECTEDLY Smooth, If we were to use a spring or something it might have felt funny, this rubber band trick is cheaper and easier to find and has VERY solid cocking action. Simple to do too

For those who were lucky enough to get the carbines, the only tip I can share off hand now is that the front 'silencer', I used a cardboard tube and sprayed it black

The centre of it I used a CD centre, cut it out and stuck it on with UHU glue, then sprayed it black..

AK47

step 1:

Removed the handguard, the lower part is SIMPLY slide out

The top part is giap one one, so pull by the sides then lift it off.

Ok this is where it gets tricky...

The front part is SUPERGLUED together, you need to use a smal flat screw driver to pry open the front black cap circle

After that slowly pry the farking red thinggy inside off, BE VERY careful, cos I cracked mine in the process

The speaker wires are blue, very logical you cant go wrong, just snip it off and you wont hear that irritating voice no more!

This is the part I am talking about...

Bloody pain in the ass

Ok this is the cable to cut for those who were wondering

Next step I filled with the caulk

THis is my front, squeese more hre for the weight , as the front muzzle is thin...

Go AROUND the gearbox... dun jam it...

SPRAYing time..

Mask areas you dont want to paint...

OK this was the point I realised i made a stupid mistake...

See the handle part where I fully squeesed culk? Do ONLY the lower half, cos the upper half will get squished and OOZE out when you mount it on the main gun

WAlah.. its finished!

I sprated the clear panel of the mag just slightly, cos i like to see it go round

To get a nice smooth finish, its best to use modelling spray like the Tamiya ones we carry, its more ex than those $5 one giant cans you get from hardwarestores cos the finishing is nicer, and its made in Japan Tongue

Generally a gun is Metallic black when its new, when the surface wears off its gun metal (slightly greyish)
