i still prefer to spray it with acrylic paint make all the gun look more metallic like, added iron inside to weight and modified the mock see thru scope buy replacing binocular structures inside, still working on the cross hair on the scope though, because it work like a binocular if i draw it on it would be too near and i cant see the lines. anyone give me any tips?

Me no pro lah.

Basically what i did is very simple:
1) Spray the supposed to be non-metal parts with normal black. Dun spray it too near. Leave about 9" distance apart. Ensure no are missed.  About 2 layer will do.
2) Finished off with dull lacquer. 1 layer will do.
3) Next, spray the supposed to be metal parts with metallic black. Same thing, about 2 layer will be enough.
4) Finished off with dull lacquer.

Note: For me any brand of spray can be used. The common ones are RJ and Nippon pylox.

Today i just bought a can of Metallic Smokey black from nippon pylox. I hope this colour can create more realistic actual metal colour of the gun.

Do be warned about using cheap sprays, their epoxy content is lower, the colours fade / degrade faster.

RJ also got the cheap one $4 only, but I never bring in cos I tried before, no good.
According to RJ, its used as cheap markers in construction sites they use to spray mark walls / floors etc... no need so good quality.

For nice flat black, the best I've used is still RJ...
