In another words, the shells are real but no gunpowder inside, so it cannot use for shooting. Only for display

I'm keen to make an AK next, just not a 'traditional' one - here's a concept I'd like your feedback on: I'm thinking CQB style with no stock and basic sights, stubby and tacti-ugly. Any suggestions from the AK fans and all others?

Just a question, what is that infront? Is it suppose to be a silencer? Just my opinion on AK47s, Classic paint job i've seen usually have a wooden buttstock, handle and front grip and the rest is chrome.

Such a huge flash-suppressor? o.O
I acutally think this AK concept looks bad-ass, man! As with the rest of your work.

Yep, it's a flash suppressor with a built in wire cutter at the front. I'm trying to avoid the 'classic' AK look hence the unusual (for an AK) sights and accessories. I might do a desert paint job on it with lots of weathering, dunno...

Looks very 'spesnaz' (to me) or even PDW. Could you shorten both the barrel and the gas tube down to balance the lack of stock?

Another Aussie reporting in Interesting to see what other locals are getting up to. I was surprised to see that people have managed to get magpul stocks as any sort of collapsing/ folding stock is illegal here.

Funny enough I think the stock would be sweet. If the timber is real timber you might have a problem. The customs folks really don't like plants and plant material coming into the country. So maybe email them before hand and ask is sealed timber is allowed...

I've thought about that but it's a lot of work and I don't have the time or patience - would look awesome though... Go for a fixed wooden stock - should be OK with customs as it's 'manufactured' timber, not raw materials, but as with many things relating to our hobby there's an element of luck... @ Skeg Man - thanks mate. I just got back from Singapore where I visited BT and met the cool cats Dragon and TGOW! What a great place, and a good time was definitely had.
