Thanks guys I really appreciate it!

@Shadowk: The gun I started with is the plain $20 M4 from BT. This is an awesome gun to mod. Once you remove the rails and remove the screws off the hand guard, you move the front sight forward then the hand guard just twists off exposing a full length barrel! I then glued on the Commando hand guard, measured the length of barrel I wanted and just cut it down to size. I tried to hide the cut where the sight meets the hand guard. The flash hider is just the orange one painted. Hope this helps! Smiley

Just a minor update on my sniper...my Magpul sights and stock turned up today, and I've fitted the rail covers temporarily. I'm tossing up which stock to fit - I like both the Magpul and the Nerf one, but which one ends up on the sniper and which on my 'nasty' AK I don't know yet... Either way the stock and pistol grip will be painted sand to match the forend, then the whole lot will get a dark earth pattern over the top. Still a lot of work to do!!  Tongue

The other M4 is there to show the difference in length of the sniper from standard (that M4 was my first 'proper' modding attempt a few months ago, pre BT and this forum) - I think the sniper proportions are OK, but I can make the barrel shorter if necessary; what do you guys think?

Skeg-meister, sweet work as usual mate and another forum first - a working MP7 stock is just what it needed.   Grin

Also, the trigger guard-mounted laser looks great - what's it from?

I recently scored an EBR stock and top RIS / handguard on ebay:

Now I have to get another EBR!  Tongue  I'm planning to make a CQB EBR, still thinking about exactly what that means apart from a *really* short barrel and a reflex sight of some sort...methinks an underslung grenade launcher might be the go.....bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!  Grin

The actual barrel length is within real parameters so it's more a case of what looks 'right'...I reckon it's pretty close but I'll experiment a bit before I decide!

I agree with Hummie, Phoenix... but judging from your reply, I guess it doesn't look a bit "right" to us then? Or maybe it's camera angle...

Cool, I'll shorten it and see!
@Skeg-man - my CQB EBR is coming out of my head so no reference pics...scary....!  ;-)
